Prismatic

3rd night of Advent—Ark and the Rainbow.

Symbol: Ark w/rainbow

Hymns: Standing On The Promises; Great Is Thy Faithfulness

Tonight is a busy full scattered evening after a busy full day—some to debate, some to Bible study, littlest to host friends to watch him. So time is crunched and we squeeze our Advent ritual into the gathered minutes we have.

Sin is so very bad, so—very—awful—bad, that God says about men and women, boys and girls, who only choose sin continually, "I am sorry that I have made them." And judgement falls on them all.

But Noah found favor in the eyes of the LORD. And he and his family were saved out of the floodwaters.

In the aftermath of His judgement, God made a most solemn promise to never destroy all mankind like that again with a worldwide flood of water. As a reminder to Himself, He set the rainbow in the clouds, an ebenezer of covenant with all living creatures forever that life would not be totally destroyed by deluge of water again.

But see the donkey pace another day toward Birth-Day celebration of Savior Jesus. In the Deluge of His water we all can be inundated with Immanuel, God With Us.
